"Merel has helped me greatly over the past period. She guided me in facing the grief that I had kept buried for so long and challenged me to confront my fears."
"I was supported to regain confidence in myself and to get back on track with my life. Thank you!"
"There were moments when I walked out of the office feeling a bit frustrated. In hindsight, those were the best sessions, as they were the ones where I truly made progress and realised I needed to approach things differently."
"Merel is serious, direct, and also a bit quirky. This combination helps you achieve results quickly and creates a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere."
Complaints and Disputes
If there are any aspects of the treatment that you find uncomfortable, please know that it’s always open for discussion. As therapists, we have studied the content of our field, but the way we provide and carry out treatment is largely shaped by our personal style and personality. Giving feedback is an essential part of therapy, so if you feel I am not adequately meeting your needs, feel free to let me know!
In addition, there are at least two set evaluation moments in treatment, where we explicitly discuss the therapeutic relationship. These occur around session 5 and during the final session. As a client, you are, of course, always welcome to bring up any issues regarding the treatment relationship at any time.
If we are unable to resolve matters through discussion and/or during an evaluation, you may file a formal complaint. I refer you to the Dutch Quality, Complaints, and Disputes Act for Mental Health Care (WKKGGZ).
